About the project
Itera Montenegro is a web platform developed to digitally promote Montenegro's tourism offering through a unified portal that brings together destinations, tourist attractions, activities, events, local partners, and editorial content in one place.
The platform includes a fully customized content management system (CMS), allowing administrators to manage all website content without requiring any programming knowledge.
It features multilingual support with an automated AI-powered translation workflow, SEO optimized for multiple markets, partner management across different membership levels (Premium, Featured, and Standard), a tourism magazine, an event calendar, contact forms, and integrated marketing modules.
Special attention was given to performance, accessibility, and scalability by leveraging server-side rendering, image optimization, intelligent caching, and modern cloud infrastructure.

Tourism information about Montenegro is often scattered across multiple websites, social media channels, and local tourism organizations. There was no single platform bringing together destinations, activities, events, trusted local partners, and high-quality editorial content, while also providing simple content management and multilingual support.
Softivo created Itera to bridge that gap—a unified tourism platform that combines destinations, activities, events, and verified local partners in one place, while being continuously maintained and improved instead of becoming outdated after launch.
Approach
Rather than building a traditional brochure website, we designed Itera as a content-driven platform. Every destination, activity, article, and event is stored as structured content and intelligently connected, allowing the same information to appear across multiple sections without duplication. For example, each destination automatically showcases its related activities, articles, and events, while every activity links visitors back to its destination.
The platform was built on a modern Next.js architecture and includes a fully custom content management system (CMS) tailored to the project's specific needs.
